A bit more on topic, yet related, since making a greater effort at the bridge to find mollusks, I've happened upon and photographed some ornate elysians, I believe, including this one from eight days ago.

Nice job. I was planning on being there for Saturday mornings dive.

I'm going with Freckled Seahare. Saw them at least three different times on Friday's night dive, so I assumed that they were common. Humann sez uncommon Florida.

Don't be too shocked when you find things that are listed as uncommon for Florida. I have shot some extremely rere species at the bridge including a species of headshield slug that had never been identified in Florida waters before. That's why I love the bridge.

Lantern bass sounds right to me, too. I get a big kick out of puddingwives (wifes?) in all their sizes and colors. Photo'd one that was no more than an inch long at the bridge last Wednesday.

Found them. :D

Even though I've only seen them once near LBTS, (actually a little bit south), they were all over the place- and that was a few years ago. I'm not surprised you've found them, yet happy that you have and they are still around. Good job!

Nice perspective with the bottle Kevin! Of course you realize you most likely missed the octopus inside that bottle. :)

Well, maybe I didn't totally miss *every* time that I was able to use a bottle for perspective on a baby fish. :D Note the (same) shell on the side of the mouth of the bottle in these two shots. I *think* there's an octo arm showing in there. Try as I might, I can't see the guy "through" the bottle in the other shot. The shot of that phenomenon that was recently posted was just *so* cool. Come to think of it, I can't see *squat* down there that's that small. Next project is that trifocals thing.

Does anyone know whether those Miller Lite "vortex" bottles would be more attractive for the little octopi? Also, note how I managed to keep the lantern bass/puddingwife theme going here. :D

BTW, someone posted pics from a DEMA show a while back and I saw in them a booth for the SFUPS (South Florida Underwater Photographers Society - or something like that). Had never heard of them previously. I've looked into it and managed to join (even as a hick from Georgia) - in spite of the fact that some of those folks are just *ridiculously* good.

Was wondering if any of you folks who dive the bridge and follow this thread are also members. I'm about to enter my first monthly contest, and making the decision on what to enter is driving me nuts. :D
