Had a great dive Memorial day at the bridge, all the usual critters and excellent viz.
I still had a couple hours till my afternoon charter with Ocean Quest Scuba, so I headed over to Ocean Reef Park. It's just North of the Bridge about a mile.
It's a guarded beach, so no scuba, but I had a great time snorkeling the reef just off the beach. It's only about 10 feet deep at the most, but there's actually alot of life out there and some good macro stuff too.
Spent about an hour swimming with a juvenile loggerhead and a 5' spotted eagle ray, a 3' guitar fish and a school of colorful squid, snook and the usual tropicals.
Pretty cool, if your wanting to add a little something after the bridge dive and the seas aren't too high. You've got about 2 extra hours of play time before the flush from the outgoing tide reaches the park.
Free Parking, bathrooms, showers, picnic shelters, etc. and FREE AIR.

I'll be fighting the traffic for an afternoon dive at BHB on Sunday, 6-1-09

Found this on my dive today (it wasn't at BHB... But this is the best place to get an id)

It looks like Hypselodoris sp. 4.

Dove today. Got there early and entered the water before 2:00 PM

Water temps: 82-84 F
vis: 30-40' in places
When the sun was out, the vis was great!

Entered and dove the West span, then made my way over to the east span

I have video of just about all the subjects photographed

Found a white Frogfish to the west of the swim area
