We were on a 6-pack, and the 2 people in the other group hadn't seen any, but yes people have been seeing them a lot more this year.

To bring this back on topic, on this thread there have been some reported at BHB.

On almost every dive I am starting to see lionfish. the most recent was Hens and Chickens.

There was some talk amongst our group about a long-lunch dive, so it may be a possibility.

Alas, a rare Friday that I have to work, so I must decline. A few of us are planning to do it Friday, July 30.

We will be there Friday as well, went today and the viz was a little short, about 15 ft, 81 degree water. We saw a nice Bat and a Scorpion. The first Scorpionfish we saw was looking for an urchin handout--I saw a piece of urchin remains close by.

View attachment shortnose.jpgYes viz was horrible today. And around 11:30 the current got so strong it was not possible for me to continue. But I think I saw two species of batfish. It looks like a shortnose and a polka-dot. Or are they both polka-dots?
