When's high tide for Wednesday night?

Apparently Force E is getting another permit for Wednesday night.
The construction is oficially starting on Thurs so this IS the last chance to dive the East span.

KEWL! I am 99% sure I can make it this Wednesday. If we have the permit through Force-E, are we still gonna get the boot from the park by 10pm? Seeing as HT is at 8:15ish, having to be out of the park by 10pm would make it not too long of a dive....

I think I have some free time and will run by Force-E today and get the scoop.

Too late for this diver. Oh well. have fun all!

I stopped in Force E today and they pulled the permit from the county for the night dive this evening.
If I didn't have previous plans. I would have paid them, Force E, my $10.00 and dove with them.
They didn't dive! :shakehead:

what part of this aren't you understanding?

Exactly, our little group were the only divers. Force E pulled the permit for our group but Force E did not dive with us.

Contacted Force-E and their tenative plan is as follows.

Have divers meet at 6pm at Force-E, to pay fee and sign waiver, then head off to Park, be in water by 7:15pm. Have to be out of park by 10pm no matter what, so they are hoping for about 1 to 1.5 hours of diving.

Said work may have started on East span, but will dive West span, and if East span still accessible, work that into the dive.

That's just it...

I was at ForceE and paid for the permit. They were saying that some people were calling them during the week stating that someone on ScubaBoard directed them to ForceE and gave them the number...

After ForceE explained to them that they were not the coordinators and were only involved to pull the permits, ForceE came up to SB to search out the thread. When they found it and read it, they simply felt some people weren't reading it correctly. ForceE's phone number was never posted and the information in the thread was very clear that people shouldn't be calling ForceE for information as this was NOT their function.

---

With the above in mind, I can see how permits in the future for private parties and groups could be denied going forward. If it were to continue...

Follow this scenario,
Someone sees the posting decides they want to make the dive and signs a waiver with ForceE and gets their parking permit. They were never a part of the group who contracted the permit to be pulled.

Something happens to that person on their dive and ForceE says, that person was a part of "Mr. Smith's" group and signed a waiver... Mr. Smith says, WHO? That person isn't and was never a part of our group. We didn't even know someone was not diving who was not a part of our group...

I can see where one or two could ruin contracted permits from being pulled for groups in the future, and I don't like that idea.
