What is a wazee ... Hockynut (I may be sorry to have asked that question)

Lake Wazee, Black River Falls Wisconsin. One of the old mine pits. I think it goes to about 300 feet or something. I usually don't like to set foot in wisconsin,(cheeseheads yanno) but a bunch of guys were going so I went.
