GC can be done less expensively if:
You go at shoulder or off season. I personally prefer spring and summer diving to winter anyway.
You stay at a 2 or 3 bedroom condo ( garden view ) , split costs with your dive buddies and cook some meals there
You get an AM boat dive package to obtain a slightly reduced rate for the week
Shore dive afternoons and or nights
Eat and drink as per the guides previously posted by Divetech
Or do a package through Divetech
Or do an AI package at Cobalt or a partially inclusive package at Ocean Frontiers or Sunset House
Nothing is really walking distance but car rental is one of the few bargains on GC.
