Better call the home office in Utah for a new revelation to allow Mormons to play basketball on Sunday.

Ps: Michigan State is tougher than most people are giving them credit for. They beat Kentucky and lost close ones to Oklahoma and Syracuse. The Big Ten beat itself up real well this year. I give them even odds in making it to at least the elite eight. Bank on it.

Nah-- they have to win Friday.

I agree with the MSU statement, they are good, way better than the 7 seed they're at. I look for them to upset the 2 seed in the second round

I get soooooo sick of BYU complaining about this, that or something else!! As a matter of fact, I remember seeing them play a football game on a Sunday night a few years back, so it's not without precedent. What's the difference now?? :upset:

Day 1 was a little upsetting....only 12 for 16, UWM and UD bvoth blowing late games. UWM should have won...but alas it wasn't meant to be. Had I gone with Weber St. and Stanford, I would be 14 of 16, but I have to live with my inferior 12.

On my way out of the office, I chatted with a co-worker about who his 'big upset' pick was. He said Weber St.. In typical 'me' fashion, I ragged on him about it, while saying I had Tulsa.

So I sent him a visciously rude e-mail last night when Tulsa won.

And you give me a heart attack implying that Weber St. didn't loose!

I've got two sheets; I missed Creighton on both [going two rounds on one], Missed California on both [kept questioning that pick, but didn't know anything about either team].

Hit AZ State on one, hit Gonzaga on the other. Hit Tulsa on both.

So 13 on both sheets. But both pools have bonus plans for upsets. One is double points for 3 or more seed upsets [e.g. 10 over 7 or better]. Had AZ state and Tulsa = 15 pts.

My other sheet has a great bonus program, a bonus point for every upset seed. e.g. tulsa over dayton was a 9 point bonus. I've got 23 points on that sheet [and man I wish I stick with AZ State on that one!]

I was so bummed, I got out of bed to head downstairs and watch the end of the Duke and Tulsa games. The Duke game ended, and coverage ended. I had to come back up and 'watch' the tulsa game by way of web refresh. When it got tied up I was _way_ nervous. Nice to see 'em finish strong!
