And I for one am ready to watch games all day Thursday and Friday. Hell, I might even take off work Friday afternoon just to go watch the games at the bar.
This is going to be a great tournament. The east and west are VERY VERY tough with the #1s being Oklahoma and Arizona, Wake and Kansas at #2, Duke and (a very hot) Syracuse at 3, a very strong Louisville and another hot team, Illinois at #4.
There aren't too many upsets in the east and west I see happening other than the very hot Miss. St. at #5 having the talent to knock off louisville and Oklahoma....
Maybe a young Wake forest might stumble, but it is doubtful...
As for the Midwest and South, these regions are full of potential dangers....The only thing I see for sure is Kentucky coming out of the Midwest. The first round Mizzou and So. Illinois matchup should be very good, as well as the UD Tulsa game. In the second round you have a probable match-up of Pitt and IU, and then the winner of that game will probably have to play Mizzou or Marquette...not an easy call on either side of the ball.
In the south...Xavier at No. 3 can make a lot of noise if the get by #6 seeded Maryland....yes, a 6 for Maryland....doesn't make sense to me either. Then if FLA can survive their first 2 rounds they (namely Mich. St...a big time tourney team) will meet the XU-MU winner....how exciting. The Texas-Uconn matchup in the sweet 16 should be one helluva game, but I think Texas is going to pull it out...Uconn just isn't consistent this year.
