We actually have quite a few of them up here, I was surprized to see that was what got you all riled up. I was expecting a frogfish or a sea horse or something.

Usually it takes a pufferfish to get Jenny totally geeked up.

Terri (aka Tasdiver1) and I were joined by a single Lobstah Divah from NE today for the morning run on UWExplorer with Scubakevdm.

We had 1-2' seas with 50'+ of viz and logged 150 minutes of BT diving Tabletops and Lynn's Reef. And I bagged five "lobstahs".
Just another sweet S FL "winter" day, diving with friends. Afterward, Terri and I met CaveCliff for lunch at Docksiders Sandwich shop (where I'm really enjoying working my way through their menu).

oops. I forgot to re-write the last one. Saw a great hammerhead today though, 10' or so. Very dark coloration.

Thanks Kevin for a good time. I can't believe that I missed the Hammerhead. At least my son saw it. I was really impressed with the shape of the reefs in Boynton.
Recommend trying Boynton Beach and Underwater Explorers!!

Well, I've pretty much forgotten all the details about the post I never re-typed, so I guess I'll have to let go of that one. I'm afraid I have a crappy one for today , although it wasn't because of the diving. We went out to the Castor this morning, and this time I had my camera. I found the casing from the powerhead that someone killed that Goliath Grouper with out there a month or so ago. It totally re-bummed me out about the whole thing. It seems like the guy must have shot it while it was in the hole. I found the casing just a couple of feet outside of it on the cargo deck.

It was a .357 Magnum with red nail polish.

Here's what's left of the grouper, I guess it was five or six weeks ago that it happened. The guy that told me it was there said that it was in the hole with his head blown off. It kinda sucks, because that was really everybody's grouper and someone just killed it for no reason. It's just not cool.

I did find some interesting stuff on the wreck too, but I'll have to write about it on another day.

Seas were calm and not as cold as it has been. Got 75 deg F on the gage. Did sights known as Table Top and Gazeebo. Of course I was shooting my 100mm macro lens and saw a Hawksbill Turtle and a Green Turtle. Spotted 2 nice big nurse sharks but the 7' Lemon Shark is what got my attention... and that was just the first dive. Second dive another Hawksbill and an Atlantic Guitarfish. Hopefully Kev got better luck capturing it with his 15mm lens.

Here are a few of my shots from today. First time shooting the 100mm on my new 40D.

Thanks for a great day Kev and for being a great buddy! But Captain Alex can not go with being mentioned here - he totally comands that vessel "Sweet!"

P.S. Total bummer on the Goliath dude.
