We all don't take one think here into consideration.
We are pretty much regular divers here, and we tend to dive frequently and it's out past time.
The thing is, the tech in diving is old and overpriced. As you said, it's easy for the manufacturers to have a easy to read, and legible computer with AI. And in most of the time if it's given, no one is using it. Like Aqualung 770. It pretty much covers all of the bases. But Perdix is more reliable/better supported and such. And for you it's the best computer for your needs, no matter that you will never do trimix or such. I was thinking of more people just started diving and after their 3rd or 4th dive, they get kitted like an army forgman, and then a year later, there are nice ads in the confidentials for a "lightly used gear set"
You misread my point, but here it goes. It's the best since most people are using it, from the pool of high end expensive computers. Since it has most of the users, it has most "testing in production" users which will help iron out the problems. Ending up being the most polished firmware which is what matters here.
As for is it for everyone, it's not. It's not for me for instance. It's way to expensive and costs way to much for me to have and own and service one. so it's not the "best" for me. the best was my leonardno that I got a year ago for 130eur new, and it's gotten me though 50ish dives untill I decided that I need something more, and I'm taking diving more serious, and now the best is the OSTC Sport I've ordered sicnce they give support where I live, and it's half the price of the Teric, so I can spend the extra 500eur on traveling
