I just received my July 2002 issue of Dive Training. On page 102 an article on the Dive Valhalla Atlas Missle Silo dive site southwest of Abilene.

A good read.

Any TSDT'ers wanna make brave the cold and dark and add a unique dive to our log books???

I have heard of this. I do not have the new issue of dive trainer yet.

Tell us a little more, from the sites I have seen on it, I cant tell if it is an overhead enviro. or not. I understand that there are flights of stairs to go down and everything is pitch black but the visibility is as far as your light will shine.

Is there anything neat to see? Would we need any specialty certs?

Thanks,

Bill

but I don't just wander by Abilene very often.

I'm interested though!

I'm definitely interested...just kind of far from Austin. Maybe some fellow austinites would like to form a carpool or caravan up there some weekend soon. (I drive a Dodge Durango which can hold 4 people and their gear comfortably...more if I tow a trailer.) Also have access to a 4x4 suburban.
