I wonder if this will be televised on TXCN?

I don't know Scubatexan. I know the major networks are there to film the sinking, as I am sure the local valley stations. If the ship is to be towed through the jetties at SP between 9 and 9:30am on Friday you can check this webcam:
South Padre Island Texas Live Cams Surf Beach Bay Weather Hotel Condo Spring Break Real Estate. The middle cam is the jetties. Click on the cam and it will enlarge, but you will have to scroll down to see it. I will see what I can find out in the morning.

Anyone know the planned depth where they're going to sink her?

Anyone know the planned depth where they're going to sink her?

according to: Texas Clipper Ship Overview

134' depth water and about 50' to the top of the ship required (for the permit) to sink her.

They cut down the masts for clearance. there was a pretty interesting show on Discovery Channel about it a few months back and it showed them getting the ship ready for sinking.

Here are a bunch of pics of the ship getting ready for sinking

The reefing has been again 'delayed' as a result of impending seas.

Someone just tell us when the d*@! thing has finally settled on the bottom. Speculating on when the TX Clipper is going to be reefed is like trying to predict the weather. :D

I feel your frustration. I was scheduled to be one of the first divers on the ship and now I had to give up my slot b/c of the delays. Oh, and the money paid for the dives is nonrefundable. Since we have to wait 48 hours after she sinks to dive her, that puts the scheduled dives on Monday, that's if (IF) there are absolutely no more delays.
