Come hear the latest discoveries on the Roman Shipwreck search and survey and the Antikythera Mechanism wreck from TEKDiveUSA.2016 presenter Phil Short Technical. Found by sponge divers on standard dress using hand pumped air at 50-60 meters depth in 1901, the Roman Ship wreck off the North Eastern shore of the Island of Antikythera in Greece became famous for one particular artefact. The Antikythera Mechanism. Labeled the first analogue computer this fascinating and not fully understood artefact has prompted a century of questions and research.

Join TEKDiveUSA.2016 presenters Michael Barnette and Richie Kohler for a fasincating look at diving the Britannic. Resting undisturbed for 60 years, the many unanswered questions surrounding the majestic wreck of HMHS BRITANNIC attracted the very best in underwater explorers. Discovered in 1976 by Jacques Cousteau, the next 40 years would witness small groups of highly-determined divers mounting ever more aggressive explorations, pushing the limits of man and ever-improving diving technology. This presentation will take the audience on a tour of those explorations, beginning with Cousteau’s epic diving escapades on the newly discovered wreck and finishing with a video documenting the cutting-edge 2015 expedition conducted on the iconic White Star liner.
