Hi Guys!

I'm doing a research project for a class (I'm in high school) and I convinced the teacher to let me do it on tech diving. But here's the problem - I need to actually have some information. I was wondering if you guys knew any good tech diving websites that I should check out.

Also I was wondering what the name of that really famous tech diving club is (the one that did that crazy 36 hour cave dive in florida or something).

If anyone could point me in the right direction, it would be awesome.

Thanks,
Adam Johnson

Try The Deco Stop

You will find good Technical Diving resources on this website. Personally, I think you will get a better response/more help here than you will at the Deco Stop. Some of the members here participate there, but seemingly with less punk attitude.

Are you interested in any tech diving or a particular specialty? there are several tech divers here that could probably help you out. Fire off some questions and see what you get.

It also may help to know exactly what your research paper is going to be about. This may help use give you better resources.

State your specific topic and we might be able to help you out a bit more. Tech diving encompasses a very broad range of diving - deep, deco, wreck penetration, cave, rebreather, etc. You'll need to narrow your topic down a lot before you even start. By your mention of the Wakulla project, it looks like you have an interest in cave diving. You can start there, but even that needs to be narrowed down a bit. You may just want to do a paper on some aspect of the Wakulla project. However, I don't know how easy it will be to get sources for it. If cave diving is an interest, check out Cave Diver's Forum. BTW, I taught college freshman comp and American Lit for 10 years.
