Multiple income streams are the key to success if you want work in scuba. Whether that means a secondary non-diving job...or investments... or writing books....magazine articles....or selling photos.

A tech instructor can earn a lot from running courses. But they should supplement this with ideas like running expeditions etc

To help develop credibility, netowrk and broaden experience, volunteering to assist with more advanced expeditions etc, as a support/safety diver, or even as surface support, is a good idea.
