Hi All,
After a shop trip had to be cancelled, a buddy of mine decided to arrange a trip up to Hornby Island for a weekend in Sept.
I have included (most of) his email below. We are still in need of at least one more diver to make this trip happen. Who's in?
Unfortunately, we are on a VERY limited time frame to confirm the date, so we would need to get deposits right away. (sorry)

I am organizing a tech trip to Hornby on Sept 9-11 or 12. So far this is
mostly a RB trip but OC is welcome.
Among other sites, we will be visiting:
-the Achilles Bank, a wall from 100-1000ft with excellent rock fish and
cloud sponges;
-the 2006 wreck of the 'Ocean Investor', a fish packer in 140ft;
-the Capilano. (Sunk in 1915)
For those who haven't been to Hornby before, Rob & Amanda run a great
operation with food and service to match. Hornby limits tech trips to 8
divers.
We will be aiming to get there as early as possible on Friday morning to
setup and get in 2 dives. We will stay Friday and Saturday nights and do 2
dives each day on Saturday and Sunday.
There is the option of staying Sunday night and diving Monday for an
additional fee, however I must have 4 divers for this to be viable.
Total Costs (including HST)
$644.00 - for 2 nights & 3 days of diving
$896.00 - for 3 nights & 4 days of diving
Deposit:
$161.00 - for 2 nights & 3 days of diving
$224.00 - for 3 nights & 4 days of diving
I appologise for the tight time frame due to this weekend just becoming
available however, deposits must be paid to me on ASAP! and
the balance is due September 2nd.
Deposits are non-refundable but may be transferred to another diver if you
find someone to fill your spot.
Payment method:
*Paypal - send to xxxxxx (email or PM me for the address) - you pay the fees if funded from a credit
card
If you are interested, please reply and let me know the following:
-whether you would like to do 3 or 4 days of diving;
-how you will be sending your deposit;
-what gases you will need (Rob can provided non-boosted oxygen, helium, and
argon);
-any dietary concerns;
-if you will be bringing a non-diving significant other.
If you have any questions please contact me or if you have diving friend who
might be interested please pass this along.
