If all of the equipment is new, clean, and undamaged, then all that is left to consider is that the problem may be located between your chair and keyboard. Replace that component and let us know what the outcome is! :)
lol ok boomer. Glad to see you finally upgraded from AOL

Carry a small soft rag in your dive bag. It's amazing how much torque you can apply to the handwheel with a towel vs. your wet, skin-softened hand alone.

Coming from a bloke that has zero mechanical inclination and couldn't find this picture on ScubaBoard

to assemble three components, that are impossible to assemble in any other configuration, but you managed

Ok, that seems unnecessary. I admitted my mistake, made worse because I have serviced at least a dozen G250s in the past. And yes, quite often the problem is located between the keyboard and chair.

At least I know the difference between a bolt and a screw! :)

Have multiple DSTs with different kinds of wheels. Some of them are tricky to open, some of them work decently.

For the tricky ones I have added self-amalgating tape to the handwheel, that seems to make it nicer.

Bumping an old thread...

Will the Apeks handwheel work with a Scubapro DIN connector shaft.
Or will both need to be exchanged, presuming the thread is the same? Can you guys please measure the overall length between the handwheel ridge on the shaft and end of the threaded side.

I am tempted to install the Apeks style chrome or satin handwheel on one of my Scubapro regulators and wanted to keep the Scubapro shaft.
Just looks cool, that's it :)

Cool hey, what about drilling out the din wheel, that's not cool!

I love the feel of a worn chrome plated checkered brass knob in the morning

Now that is cool!

Come on... it's just a wheel on top of the filter shaft that has some blink to it ;). It's even closer to OE compared to converting Yoke to DIN using generic Metalsub unit.

Oh Yea, that's more like it ;)

Hey man the hole in the wheel thing is too small for the shaft thing and the Apeks has a coarser thread
