Carry a small soft rag in your dive bag. It's amazing how much torque you can apply to the handwheel with a towel vs. your wet, skin-softened hand alone.

Ok, that seems unnecessary. I admitted my mistake, made worse because I have serviced at least a dozen G250s in the past. And yes, quite often the problem is located between the keyboard and chair.

At least I know the difference between a bolt and a screw!

How come I never had the same issue for using Apeks over 27yrs? Sometimes with 4-5 regs for the same baby tec dive.
Do not overtighten it.

Have multiple DSTs with different kinds of wheels. Some of them are tricky to open, some of them work decently.

For the tricky ones I have added self-amalgating tape to the handwheel, that seems to make it nicer.
