i had my x7-100 in my truck along with a bag of fruit. one of the pears fell out and sat on the tank without me knowing .after a day and a half when i found it the pear had rotted on the tank .after i cleaned the tank the pear had discolored the galvanized coating on the tank .will this make it fail the viz inspection ?

Viz is inside and out, I'm not a trained inspector, so I don't want to speculate on this particular case, but I think in general they are just looking on the outside for obvious damage ie. dents/dings/heavy rust/pitting. Take it in and have it looked at.

All of my 6 steel tanks look worse than that and they pass every year.

Interesting. Maybe this pic will be easier for others to view. I don't know the answer, but someone will. Probly would have worked much better if you'd posted this in Tanks sub-forum, but it'll happen...

If you can't feel it I wouldn't give it a second thought.

BTW If you add some detail to your profile we could at least make an educated guess as to if the cylinder in general had fresh or salt water exposure as a baseline.
