:hmmm:

That was quite the edit.....Too bad it had not been quoted.
Yeah, I let my guard down here for a moment. I knew better, but gave it a try. Never again.
Your hair brained idea of floating an smb below the surface to get the attention of a DM when you get separated(can you say poor buddy skills?).
Never heard of the idea.
As for the OOA thread, I'm sure someone here has the link, be VERY careful what you wish for.
I know well the incident and know of its infamy elsewhere. It serves as a good example of bad ideas & practices; no news there. Calling it "mugging a diver" is your term, but I have heard it before from your Circle.

I have heard it before from your Circle.

What exactly is "my circle" Don? You reference it often and many that you group into it I have never met, is it anyone who dares disagree with your tragically horrible dive advice?

Oh, c'mon 'SPEED, that one is obvious as hell! It's your 3,525 friends on this board! ;)

If I was doing a deco hang and some inconsiderate asshat I wasn't even buddied with rudely sucked down my gas because he couldn't plan a dive I'd call it mugging and there would be serious words on the boat.

Hope you never try the trashbag thing in the Sea of Cortez around Guaymas, Don. The locals don't care much for trash in the sea.

Psssstt. We seem to be drifting off the garbage bag topic... And this IS still Basic Scuba.

I'm sure we can find the link. Stick to being a travel agent Don, your dive "advice" is insanely detrimental and your denial is horrifying.
I got to wonder how you treat your students; I know I would never want to be one of yours.

I just never heard of "floating an smb below the surface to get the attention of a DM," but it sounds insane.

Did you notice I said "You win" long ago? Never enough for you huh. Want me to post it somewhere else? You have harassed me into saying it on two threads.
