Dude, they ARE howling. They don't have to like it, but I hate to see a product and company thrashed because of baseless assumptions. That goes for Mares as well as Zeagle!

Agreed. But, without wanting to hijack this thread, you have to agree that the howling is MUCH more muted that what we've "historically" seen with the HUB...

Either way, I agree with Kensuguro... (Last post)

I like it. I am not sure if I this is right because the pictures are a bit small but it looks like you can use a regular tank on the back of this thing. Isnt that great for all us pony bottle users? We can buy a BC that already has a way to attach a 20 cubic pony. And it is mounted so that trim is not an issue. You also wont turtle because it is not mounted to one side. You can dive with your 80 on your back and a 20 on your front. A little bit of weight on the front to counter all that weight on the back is a good thing too. You dont have to "pair" the tanks like the pictures say. Total redunduncy. Great for recreational divers.

You know I just might have to get one of these.

My wife has her AOW and also has MS. She uses only a fourth of the air as the rest of us. I'm always stealing her air when I can get away with it. Some times I will go through three tanks to her one and she still has air left. The woman just doesn't need air and on Nitrox even uses less.

The bummer is she is hard to spot from the surface if you're looking for her bubbles.

A full set of gear is rough on her so this just might be the cats meow. Gotta get one for her to try.

Similar to what I was thinking. My 10 yr old son got his JR OW this summer. I've been forking out anywhere from $60 to $110 (x2) , every other weekend, for boat trips to Catalina Island in order to spare him from from the burden of local shore dives. He can barely walk with a 63 cft AL and 12 lbs of weight ... let alone doing so up/down 100 steps. He's got little lungs and is a very relaxed breather underwater. He could easliy squeeze out 30-40+ min on one of these RAPID DIVER sytems ... we normally try to keep it around 40 ft max depth anyways.

I already trust Zeagle with his life support system ( as I do mine). This could be the call for local shore dives ... darn thing would practically pay for itself after a couple months . Attached is a pic of my my little bro at Casino Point Underwater Dive Park ... check out that sweet little Zeagle Brigade from Scuba Toys.

I like it. I can see how this can benefit in rescue, but you guys have to think outside the box. My evil henchmen will love using this apparatus. This equipment also has the potential to be beneficial in a quest for world domination... :cyborg:

Best post yet!!! Good way to start off a hurricane filled Monday morning - thanks Chip!!

I have been thinking about this, and I can't see how the unit compares to the HUB BC. :06:

The regulator isn't built into the BC on the Rapid Diver, and it uses a standard power inflator, just like our other BCs. Am I missing something else???

Please enlighten me.

Thanks,

Scott

Thanks for the heads up, Scott. I had not noticed the regs were actually decoupled from the BCD...

My bad...

they're envious scott....Chip is one of your apocalypse horsemen.

I guess I just don't see the advantage. If I was concerned about weight and rapid deployment, why would this be any better or faster than any other small light weight bc or wing already assembled to any size tank I want to strap onto it?

ok, now I've gotten into the water fast. Now what's the advantage? I know I don't like a belly mounted tank but I see you can back mount one too. What am I missing? What does the thing do for you? Or what could I do better with it than with any of my other rigs?

Well then Mike... you have brought "Cyber-Diving" to a whole new level- gerat dive report! As for one who has put it on in "real time", I see lots of advantages.
