Harry,
when will the 17 & 25 G260 Tactical be ready to ship ?
I'm interested also, but also curious what the chance a matching first stage (mk17 preferably?) will follow is?

I haven't seen the reg in person, but I am assuming it is a different "color" than the black tech s600/mk25 since it is apparently a different coating process and is more along the lines of the same process as the Deep Blue S600/Mk25. Also, with the availability issues of the black tech one would assume you couldn't order a black tech first stage separate and the g260 tactical separate.

I have a s600 black tech and LOVE IT after choosing between it and the g260 to begin with in the spring, so naturally the g260 tactical peaked my interest.

I like the way it looks, but I really hate the name "tactical" applied to everything these days. Everyone wants to be tactical. Give me a break.

Anyway, looks like the G260 tactical is in stock at some sellers.

Must agree it'd be much nicer if the 1st was blacked or anodized a little to match with the 2nd.

Some places have it listed but not in stock yet it seems....

Got my 17/260 Tactical the other day... The darker gunmetal finish is pretty cool on the 260 and I like swivels so that's good.

Not sure why they did not do anything to the Mk17.... ??? Thinking about having a coating applied to it like what is put on firearms.

For ScubaPro Kate, What does the "Tactical" designation over the standard G260 do for my diving?

Leisure Pro is showing it in stock.

500.00 for a second stage only? What is it that's worth $500 for a second stage?

Absolutely nothing that would interest anyone with a mental age over 12.

Enriches your fantasy life by facilitating your James Bond and Navy Frogman 'let's pretend' games. Makes the other kids jealous.

You mean Parkerized? Think again. Wouldn't you rather have some hippy flower decals, "make love not war" and similar stuff on that first stage, just to confuse the enemy?

Jim, it's "tactical", that alone is worth the extra, tacticalness doesn't come cheap.

Duh, it makes your diving more tactical...

Sorry but No, not Parkerized it's Cerakote... So please get your assumptions correct...

and since I entered the Navy and began diving in 1969, retired in '93 I'd say I qualify for both of your descriptions of Flower Power Hippy Navy Diver!

I additionally served 4 years in the US Army with the 11th Armored Cav.

I do enjoy dressing up on Veterans Day re-living and celebrating what I feel was the best part of my life.

So for ScubaPro Kate... Is the MK17/G260 T any smoother, slicker, better, faster or other assorted descriptions over the standard 17/260.

A simple, not really, is fine... but I do like the swivel !

Oh and I've DELETED the ISLANDHEART Profile so as not to have any Sock Puppets.
