Suunto software V 1.6??? WTF

Ok, I opened a case with suunto a week ago since they have no release notes, or whats new for the version 1.6 of their software that I have been able to find.

So since suunto won't respond to me on there new support site, anyone out there know what the hell was changed or added to their software?

There's a bug fix for WinXP. In version 1.5, the "test interface" option returned an ignorable error message- the software worked properly. In version 1.6 the "test interface" returns the com port where the interface is detected.

Don't know if other bugs were fixed, but it seems that no new features whatsoever were added.

Is this so critical for you to have the release notes? You're the first person that I know who actually wants to read the release notes (of any software... )

Jai Bar,
I work and live and breath in the software industry, worse then that the security software/hardware industry. Release notes commonly are where they document new features that might not be exactly obvious. That and I like to know what in the world software does or has changed before I install it on my pc.

Dear Sir,

Thank you for contacting Suunto.

We are very sorry for the delay in replying. Basically the 1.6 version of Dive Manager only corrected a bug related to the connection in version 1.51. There are no noticable changes in the software itself. The next release of Dive Manager is scehduled for sometime at the end of this year.

Could I get a What's new, and or release notes for version 1.6 of the SDM software? I couldn't find them on the website, or in the help. I also didn't see any text files in the SDM directory.
