I recently bought a used Cobra 2. When I tried to hook it up to a tank to check air pressure it wouldn't hold pressure at the hp connect below the Cobra. I thought maybe it needed an o-ring since there wasn't one but it kept blowing it out. Any suggestions?

Sounds like you need a HP spool. Is there even one in there?

Here are some pics of the connection. There was only the male and female ends of the connection. There not the best but I hope you get the idea.

It's hard to tell from the pictures but doesn't look like there is a HP spool. I find a link a post it. So you can see better if it's there.

Yeah there is nothing like that just the two pieces of the connection. The one in the picture doesn't seem like it would fit in the connection.

There are least two different models of the HP spool. The one in the picture and a longer narrower one that fits the cobra. I'll see if I can find the link to one if you want to do it yourself.

Maybe the OP should just take it to a local shop and ask them to "make it work."
I don't think he works on his own gear too much.

This is the HP spool that he'll need: straight HP spool.

[Edited later: I see that a878bob posted just ahead of me.]

It's always a good time to learn about your gear!!! If your comfortable with fixing it yourself or not.

I'm not comfortable taking my gear to a LDS and say make it work. I'd rather have the knowledge to make a good decision on what it takes to fix it.
