They may not post here but perhaps they will at least reply to my email. They might well have a procedure for handling these types of situations with the advertising and suspensions, so it would be advantageous for them to let their customers know what it is and avoid mis-understandings both with dive centers and individuals instructors as well as PADI divers on the whole. I have other certs but I'm PADI OW and AOW, had a good instructor and a very good experience with them.
Again, I'm sure PADI is not the only agency this happens to and I'm not in any way picking on them.
I'd be quite surprised if they don't have access to SB and know they are being talked about.

Oh I guess some of them read SB, but they're not going to post here. Why should they? "Better to keep your mouth shut and let the world think than open it and remove all doubt."

I agree that PADI would probably not post here Don for the same reason many other companies like Aqualung would not, using the excuse that they don't respond to anonymous posters on an internet forum even though this is the largest of it's kind.
Fortunately, many companies do participate here and I think that in doing so they show real concern for their customers while increasing their exposure. Many like SSI have their own forum here. I applaud any company that does participate on SB.

With all the putrid hatred of PADI here, I don't blame them for not being involved. Kinda like putting out the compost for the flies. I don't mind the objective criticism of some here against PADI, but if I were a PADI representative - this would not be a friendly forum for the poor guy/gal to deal with.
This seems to be a personal issue between PADI and their instructor. With the threat of lawsuits and confidentiality issue, I think there is only so much a certifying agency can do. I am not a lawyer, but I think both Eric and PADI deserve better than a bashing on an internet forum. The OP has turned me off enough with his name calling of other folks, I am not sure what his/her agenda is. If he or she is a real person, you're not going very far in life in such an abrasive manner.

Maybe there's a link between the bashing and their absence? They never give their side so readers only hear the other side. Most people recognize and respect those who step up even though they are walking into a ring of fire. Leisure Pro gets bashed a bit here as well but Brett stepped up and members responded for the most part with respect.
PADI may not be able to speak about the specifics of this case but they could definitely speak in terms of general policies and procedures.
