I understand that initially the seas made them cancel some of their trips. And then the annual maintenance came into play, with unexpected repairs needed.

Do you think maybe also they might be holding off relaunching, waiting until near the end of whale season? Just a thought.

If they are waiting for after whale season, I don't see how viable this enterprise is. I seriously doubt they will be in business at this time next year.

And remember, the loan is federally guaranteed.

I read it was damaged badly while in dry dock. Or they'd be running.

On a side note, I was scheduled to go on the SF on 2/28, returning on 3/4. They cancelled but said I could get a 10% discount on a flight with HA. But since the initial dry dock was scheduled to be done on 3/3, I couldn't get the discount because technically, they would be running on 3/4 and I could take the ferry home.

When I explained that I booked the SF in order to take my car, and now I could not, it didn't make one bit of difference to them or HA. They did refund me my prepaid ticket, though.
