Substitute for the Mares Volo Race

Hi!

I'm pretty new on the boards. Anyway, I'm currently looking for a new pair of full foot fins and was pretty convinced that the Mares Volo Race were what I was looking for as my buddies use them and I frequently huff and puff behind them while they seem to glide effortlessly by (no, I'm not THAT out of shape if that's what you're thinking, haha). I checked with a few stores and it seems like the distributor no longer carry these fins and I'm forced to find alternatives. I'm quite small (using size 36-37) so I have quite a limited choice. Does anyone happen to know fins that are as good as, or better than the Volo Race?

My dive instructor actually recommended the Apollo Bio Fins but I've been getting mixed reviews about them so I'm really unsure if I should get them. :-/

Any replies would be VERY appreciated.

LeisurePro is selling them on sale for about $52. They are available from Divers Direct for $70. My wife uses them and likes them a lot.

thanks for the replies. i checked out LeisurePro and Divers Direct. unfortunately they don't ship internationally to where i am. i think i'm quite resigned to NOT getting the Volo Race unless a miracle happens, haha.

i heard that the bio fins are lousy against currents? o_0
