I'm intrigued by this event, but I have so many questions.
- Is this suitable for noobs?
- What are the advantages of booking as part of a team? Will they set me up with a buddy?
- Can I still join a team or find a buddy somehow if I come for Friday night and stay the weekend rather than coming on the 6 a.m. ferry? My non-diving husband is open to coming for the weekend but is understandably not thrilled about getting up so early on a Saturday just to wait for me on shore. I did check and there are plenty of hotel rooms left, though I'm sure I'll want to move quickly.
- Renting gear: what's the best way to go about that? I'd love to be able to just get it on the island and save myself some hassle, especially if we make a weekend of it, but is that overly optimistic/unlikely to work out?
- Non-diver registration: what is this $30 fee? Do we have to pay it for my husband to attend? Should I pay it anyway because it's for a good cause?
- Cold: my wimpy @$$ will live... right?
