Sorry for the ultra- newbie question but what is DIR? some kind of system i gather involving the hoses? like i said im new, just finished OW on monday. thanks for any answers you might lend me.

On the left side of the frame under Information, click the hyperlink "Learning Center". Then click "DIR System" under the heading General.
 
Not a stupid question, DIR as said before stands for Do it right, I am no expert and I suspect the links given should give you all the info you need, more or less its a specific way of diving, same way, same setup, blah blah blah whether it is "right" is for you to decide.
