What advice can anyone give me regarding stride entry from a boat using BP/W setups - I've only done giant stride with front inflation BC - so its easier (with full tank) to stay upright.

With rear inflation on a wing, and alot more weight above surface on your back I'm wondering if its the same on entry to water, or do you get pushed face down due to full inflation on wing?

I've read about how to configure your weights on the BP or camstraps to get nice level boyancy, still if you've got some advice do's/don'ts and watch out for's that'd be greatly appreciated.

The LDS who I am planning on getting more dives in don't do shore dives, just head out on a big boat to reefs/wrecks, you get buddied up and go go go - but, no one I have seen uses BP/Wings. I'm even nervous that they won't let me on due to in-experiance using BP/Wings and saying that there is no one there familiar to help me if i do run into problems...

Same deal. Put a little air in it & step off.
Ditto. No problems!

Piece of cake!!

The GS is no different wih BP/W. Floating upright is where it gets tricky; you need a bit less inflation than you would normally use in a jacket style BC, and remember to lean back and relax.

With a crotch strap you don't get the face forward perspective with a BPW...

Just face the horizon, take a big step out and in you go...
