I know I already posted this on ScubaBoard2 but I figured I'd repost it here just in case someone out there didn't head over to the temp site and knows something about it. I will post a picture of it when I get out of work later this afternoon. Happy Diving!
Did a dive this weekend at the Alton dock for the Mount since none of the students we were supposed to be out with decided to show for Sunday. The water temp was around 70 so diving was comfortable in a 7mm with no hood or gloves. The dive started from the swimming dock just south of the mount's dock and went north under the mount's dock and then retraced back for a total time of 50 min wrapping up about 10 minutes before the mount's scheduled arrival. There was some cool stuff to be seen (a folding chair, a bicycle, cellphone, wallet complete with $117 and an id - yes the guy was contacted) of those I only found the bike but it was good for a laugh and a few wheelies. I also found an interesting bottle. Embossed on the glass (clear glass) is Lafayette Bottling Company Manchester, NH. None of us had ever heard of this before and I did a google search for it and came up with only three links all to auctions, two of which were closed and one of which just lists it as lot 382 with some book ends. If anyone has any information on the company or bottle that would be awesome, its about time I pull something worth more than its recycle value out of the lake!
