Storing regs at my dive centre - any recommendations?

How many regs are we talking about? If you've got 20 or 30 regsets to store, hanging them individually isn't going to be practical as you need at least one foot (30cm) of horizontal wall space per hook.

If you don't want to coil them onto shelves or into baskets, then you'd want to rig up something that projects far enough out of the wall that you could hang them several sets deep. Something like these (which are meant for externally mounting a/c units).

Mount them in pairs a few inches apart so the first stage will fit between each pair. To make this safe and stronger, you'd want to connect each pair of brackets near the exposed ends and also cover the exposed ends so it's not an impalement hazard. A short section of angle bracket could serve both purposes.
