Bumping an old thread.... Searched and this is the only thread I could find with a reference to the old Faber slim 60s

Your tank is made by Faber (the DOT code for Faber is M8393). Faber makes five steel tanks rated to 3000 psi: 60, 72, 80, 100, & 120 cu-feet. Below are the dimensions for each tank:

diameter length weight empty
inches inches pounds
60 6.00 22.0 22.9
72 6.75 20.5 28.7
80 7.25 20.1 32.4
100 7.25 24.2 38.8
120 7.25 28.6 45.4

Does anyone have buoyancy specs for the slim Faber/Scubapro 60 cf tankss?

According to an online calculator it should be:
The cylinder when empty has a buoyancy of -1.13 lb
The cylinder when full has a buoyancy of-5.63 lb

Does this sound right? Does anyone have the official buoyancy specs?

Thanks for the help.

Found the answer in another thread, I'll leave it here in case someone else is searching:

mahjong:
71.4cf, 25.96 +/-.20 inches tall, 6.00 +/- .05 inches diameter, 26lbs nominal, -7.6lbs full, -2.3lbs empty.
60.6cf, 22 +/- .2 inches tall, 6.00 +/- .05 inches diameter, 22.7lbs nominal, -7.1lbs full, -2.5lbs empty

mid-pressure tanks: 3000psi + 10%, so reach capacity at 3300psi.

Hot dipped galvanized. Not sure when to when, exactly. Above info pulled from 1987 catalog.

I think the tank you have is the "Slim Tank". It holds 71.2 cu ft @ 3300 (3000 with the "+" if current) Diameter is 6 inches, height is 25.39". It's a nice tank, especially if you keep the overfill current. Full, it's -9.5 lbs., empty -4 lbs.
At 3000 psi it'll have 64.7 cu. ft.

+1, This is what I believe you have. My wife has a set of these doubled up. @3500 they have ~150ft^3 of gas in a small and relatively light package. Terrific set of small doubles.
