Have 5 Fabers of various vintage that I dive regularly and love. They trim great, have sweet buoyancy characteristics, are close enough to the AL 80 most of my dive buddies are using (I still use less gas than they do. and IF you can find them are relatively cheep. That said I am not selling mine! lol

I found some steel 71's new from Faber. If I get desperate enough I'll go with those. I borrowed a friend's older ScubaPro Faber72 and it was great. No struggling with weight on land (huge consideration for me) and worked well in the water. More than enough air. Dove with a guy who uses steel 85.

the LP 85 is a nice alternative however if I were going to go new steel I would be getting an HP 100 or two. I got all of my tanks via my instructor/mentor at my LDS. He had like 20 of them tucked away in his basement... My limited experience tells me that those are the cats that you need to ask (the old school shop rats). Like I sand in my first post, the best part about them is that you can generally get them fairly cheaply. You can also find them on craigs list by people selling scuba gear that has been sitting a long time....

You can try this guy but he is in Canada
