I have my new AL40, for which I have installed DGX's webbing strap kit. As you can see in the image below the sheath on my cylinder clamp is a bit short. This is how it arrived, I did no trimming. I have the extra "feed" end of the cylinder clamp routing back into the sheath. From what I can tell no part of the stainless on the clamp is touching the cylinder. Is this acceptable or should I order a longer sheath and trim to custom fit? Also, I'd like to remove all stickers if not necessary. Is the Luxfer sticker below OK to remove? I will of course leave the EANx clean sticker I applied from DGX. Thanks in advance.

There should have been small sheat for the clamp where that screw isfor that place only, your sheat looks its the right lenght, you're just missing that short piece, about 1-1,5" long

I would have no problem leaving it as it is, as long as the free end of the metal clamp is under the sheath, as you describe it to be. If you find anything snagging on that exposed part of the clamp, simply put a piece of duct tape over it.

That small piece is over the screw assembly already. What's exposed is the gap.

Thanks. Do I run any sort of risk of abrasions on the main strap as the end the pressed the cylinder between two pieces of metal? I'll certainly keep an eye on it but I suppose this will wear quicker.

Yes, it might wear through in 20 years of regular use.

It looks fine. Go diving.
