I have been lead to believe that all stage bottles should be aluminum, and never steel. I have never heard the reasoning behind this, but I am assuming this is due to buoyancy characteristics. Can someone please fill me in. Also, am I right in assuming this applies to staged ponies? Thanks in advance.......

The nice thing about AL 80 stages is that they don't affect your lateral trim much, and you can sling one on and off without having to work at staying upright.
