Completed my 100th dive today. The viz in the river might have been 3 feet off of Marine City. This is a lot better than last week which was under 1 ft. I found three more tobacco pipe stems to add to my collection. There must have been some sort of pipe manufacturing company in Marine City for the number of pipes we find in the river.

If the weather is nice we should be out there on Friday afternoon. God bless dry suits.

We will be diving the river out of Marine City tomorrow at 2 is anyone is interested in joining. I wish I was getting wet today.

I am teaching the lecture portion of the River diver course tomorrow night at Diver Incorporated- Ann Arbor at 6pm... If anyone is interested.

Interesting - could you provide some more info? Is that a NAUI class? What is included in the course under the following:
  • Number of dives required
  • Qualifications of graduates
  • Course prerequisites, equipment needs etc
  • Student skill requirements
  • Academic topics and methods of testing
  • Student-Supervision rates
  • Types of dives and depth limits
Cheers

I was just kidding , this dive should not be done unless you have 100 plus dives in the St.Clair river, and should be done with someone that has been their many times before. This wreck is a ass kicker the fastest current in the river and will rip your mask off you face.

How can you do a class on diving the river in a classroom? where are you comming from ? Are you going to send students up here to dive this river by themselfs ?
I put in 200-300 dives a year in the St.Clair River we do not need any newbees up here. I do not know who you are ! So you are not a hardcore river diver, their for you have no right in teaching a class. Please keep your students South of St. Clair.
For those interseted we have 1000' ships with 35' of draft in some waters 38' deep 250' off shore, with bow thrusters that suck and blow water in, and water currents over 8 mph and up to 12 mph with a strong North wind.
