Just FYI, looks like nearly all the springs connected to rivers in florida are swamped. Isolated sinks like Blue Grotto, Devils Den, Vortex, etc may still be diveable but you shoudl call before heading out.

If anyone goes anywhere and can let me know about the conditions Id be grateful. Even if you know its swamped and can go verify it for me, thatd be great. Pics would be even better! Ive been trying to organize all the conditions reports on my website to make it easier on people to find places to dive, and feel free to submit a report at http://northfloridadiver.net/divesites.htm

in Orange City, FL is open, water is very high, no report on vis.

Devils Den was open last weekend, although the water was close to lapping on the platform at the bottom of the entrance steps that lead down - the guy said it had been rising and still was. I heard yesterday that it might be too high and they were closed, but i havent confirmed that. The viz was about 5-8ft, possibly due to stuff kicked up by OW classes as well as infiltrating water.

Going to Paradise tomorrow, can let you know after that.

all I know is I called Blue Springs last weekend and they said they were still closed due to power outtage and downed trees.

*when is that Conchdivers Website gonna be done where we can read the status & details of each site?*

as of last Sunday, Paradise was open and great!

Was it open for diving or just park entry?

Saw a report on CDF on Paradise that was from saturday and it was 100ft viz, until some others got in and stirred up the bottom - hopefully it has settled down again! So assuming from that and Wendy saying it was great that it was open for diving both days.

Park entry? there is no park, its in someone's front yard.

Sweet

Manatee is open! call to verify if you plan to head out. I hear the river is still up, which means slow will be down and vis will be good.
