We're not feeling used and abused. Some of us just tend to do things just to get it done. This way I won't worry about it so much. This way I can sit back eat and watch you guys work.

Well, scorpion2012 did offer to be your slave, you can sit back, watch and get a foot massage!!! Just make sure you get your feet extra stinky before! :p

just kidding! :D

No, I don't think they allow pets there.
Therefore, There is no way to get them real smelly.

For those who always ask what to bring. Here are some ideas... I'm going to start wittling down the list of what's needed.
Meat items for the grill (let's keep it to Hamburgers, hotdogs, and chicken breast and buns) (We're trying to keep it simple so it doesn't take forever to cook for the group) (If you have something else you were thinking about and want to cook that yourself, that's great! Some have brought friers or smokers and added to the meat items that way.)
Eggs (We never seem to have enough.)
Items for the omlettes (additional meats, peppers, mushrooms, onions, salsa, wraps, cheese, etc.)
Items for Breakfast (small bag of coffee, creamer, insulated cups for hot beverages, hot chocolate, Juices, fruit, etc.)
Charcoal (self starting lg bag)
Condiments (cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, pickles, ketchup, mustard, mayo, relish, BBQ sauce etc.)
Aluminum Foil Serving Pans (to hold the cooked meat)
Paper towels
Qt. Freezer baggies
for the omelettes(Make sure they are the freezer kind or they will melt)
Bottled water
Side dishes (casseroles, baked beans, potato salad, macaroni salad, cole slaw, chips and dips/salsa, fruit salad, green salads w/dressing, veggie tray w/dip, etc.)
Deserts (Oh please don’t forget the deserts!)
Tiki torches and fuel (for around the fire)
Fire wood for the camp fire.
We have plenty of plates and silverware for the next 2 megadives.

Was bored at work and started looking through the previous Megadive posts.... I was amazed at all the hard work you Megadive veterans have been doing for the past 8 years!

Thank you for making such a great bi-annual tradition and continuing it, so us recently graduated n00bs have a blast!

Also...what was all that business in those threads about rabid otters? Did you all actually see otters in the Santa Fe River?

Now, back to work...and finishing up my before-Megadive-to-do list!

Sad news ......

Last week Cindy got a sinus infection because of all the 6000+ pollen count around here. Doc gave her prescriptions to try to fix, but it's still there. But, we thought, what the heck. Megadive is fun, even if she can't dive. No problem.

Last Saturday we were at a lacrosse game and Cindy slipped on a wet step and fell down some bleacher stairs. Nothing broken, but ankle and toes hurt really bad. Ok, maybe it will get better. Well, no, not only did it not get better but her back and hip are so bruised and sore, she can't even stand up straight to limp around. She's been working from home all week trying to make it better but .... (heavy sigh) ... it ain't happening.

I am very sorry to say that we must bail on the Spring Fool's Megadive 2012. :crying: We've been looking forward to this for months, but she is in serious pain here at home, I can't imagine her discomfort while trying to camp. Sorry guys.

Thanks Joyce, I added you to the list.

Gary, I am sooooo bummed. Poor Cindy! I hope she gets to feeling better soon. You be a good doctor and take care of that wonderful lady! Give her a hug for me and tell her we'll miss her. Oh and you too!

Thanks for the update on the weather Jean. Well we might get a little rain. I plan on getting wet anyway.

And I thought lacrosse was only dangerous for those of us that played it.....

Drug her real good, and come by yourself. If you are lucky she won't even realize you were gone......
