Spotted Eagle Ray collides with boater

It was a Spotted Eagle Ray 75lbs! It was a head blow from the fall according to a reporter on the scene at the hospital? They seem to almost get it right!

I just read an article on Drudge (Marathon, FL) that said that a woman was killed by a stingray down there, supposedly when it jumped out of the water and into the boat she was in. It seems that the ray crashed into the woman and killed her. Any other news about this?

I saw it on CNN at lunchtime. It was a spotted eagle ray.

In one report, I read that the barb somehow hit the woman in neck. If so, I wonder how in the heck that happened.

I just read it in one of the major (norwegian) newspapers and unless they got it wrong its been confirmed that she did not get stung, but died from head trauma.
Tragic and freaky accident however it happened though..
