There's been 6 or 8 threads started on the accident, all merged into one on Accidents forum. Over a hundred people a year killed in the US by deer collisions, but this is catching attention because it was a jumping, baby eagle ray. Sad for the woman and the baby ray.
 
I was also in Coz in Jan. and heard that the ray then was almost 200lbs.

Saw Manta's off Costa Rica jumping and slapping the surface. Dive master said they slap to get the algae to sink so they can scoop them in. That was a dive to remember, then second dive saw a whale shark. Lots of algae in the water that day, pics to prove it also.

Wife saw small manta off Caribe Blue last year and it slapped the surface. She was snorkeling. No Pic so take it with a grain of salt.
