im doing my dm, tommorrow we are doing two of the stamina skills....one is the 800 yd mask, fin and snorkel swim.......trying to decide which of my fins might be better for that.........any suggestions....thanx

full or open heel ......just trying to think of pros and cons

Open, definitely.

I get a better fit with open. You can a dive a full foot some of the time, but open can be dived all of the time: cold water, warm water, doesn't matter. Booties make getting to the water easier on tender toes, prevent blisters and can provide better traction.

Use a little duct tape to fix the split fins, no worries.

huh... seems to me that if you don't know the answer to that question your probably not ready for DM. maybe you should go swim with them some more and see which works better for you.
test day is a bad time to discover that you are not prepared
