Claro.

I'm pretty sure that if you have the funds to frequently fly to Colorado from all over the world, saving a couple hundred dollars off a reg set is not going to matter much.
Smart people invest wisely, that is why they have money!
Well that is how most of them sound.
I have to post to abrogate your posts against Scubapro!

100% of your posts that I have read are repugnant remarks towards Scubapro!

I don't necessarily have a problem with Scubapro, but Scubapro has a problem.

I'll give Scubapro another few years before they either go belly up or are in serious financial peril.
There is so much great competition out there now and so many better choices to make thanks to the internet.
People can make informed choices and talk to real divers all over the world and get input on what they should buy.
Scubapro used to have an OK thing going with FPFL and that was a big reason many people bought an overpriced reg because they figured the savings in parts would make it worth it. But even before they did away with FPFL, the internet and having access to people in the know shot the whole idea full of holes that it was mandatory people needed to take their reg in for a full service every year like SP demanded or else you would lose the free parts for that year. If a reg is any good there isn't a reason to have to take it in every year, it's a scam.
Now they scrapped the program if you just buy the reg so now they are REALLY overpriced and no better than any other brand out there.
Why would somebody buy a reg that's 50% to 100% higher than everything else and also have to pay rediculous prices for parts and service on top of it??
If SP doesn't take down this stupid MAP thing they are going to self legislate themselves right out of business.
They should also get with the times and consider selling kits to people who like to do their own service work.
Many people have gotten rid of or quit using their SP regs because they can't afford them anymore.
Just ask TSandM, she and her hubby are good examples.
I'm also another example, I have a MK20/G200B that sits because I can't find parts, and I'll be damned if I'm going to take it to the LDS and get raped when I have a bunch of other regs in my arsenal that I can service myself and serve me just as good. I do have older SP (MK5/109) that I can get kits for and I use it a lot. If there were no kits available to me I wouldn't own it either, it would be useless. Thanks to people on SB and their support I can use that reg.
I get a hell of a lot more support here on SB than any LDS affiliated with Scubapro could give me, I'll tell you that!

Scubapro has been a leader for 50 years!

Scubapro is a leader in SCUBA gear and has been for 50 years.

They have developed products & designs that have changed the industry.

The Scubapro Jet Fin Yes I agree.

The Scubapro Regulators - MK 5 - Mk25; Adj - A700 A700? All show, Would look good if you had a Benz emblem around your neck to go with it.

The Scubapro Stab Jacket - X-Tek BackPlate/Wing Whole X-tek line, they Came out with nothing special, they just wanted a piece of the action.

The Scubapro AIR II Yes some people like it.

The Scubapro ( Uwatec ) dive computers AirX - Galileo Sol The promised tri mix upgrade was only about three tears late and a flop from what I've seen, in the three years many much better computers have came out.

The Scubapro Frameless mask Does it have to cost $120? I like my Scubamax MK153, only $30.

The Scubapro Shotgun snorkel $50 snorkel, nuf said

Scubapro's full line - the New SubGear Line The whole line is just re bagged product.

They offer a full line of quality gear world-wide! Yes they do.

What the heck do you call this post? My answers to it in red. What I don't like about SP is there business practices that seam to only want to separate you from your money.

How exactly do you define repugnant? Maybe you should read some more of my posts and not dwell on my feelings for SP(many other people have these feelings also). But what I will say is a very good majority of your posts do read like a banner ad, and I'm not even the one that called you on it.

Wait, SubGear? Did they really think that was a good name to go with?
Yes, I was a bit skeptical at first.

Yet, SubGear is an exciting New line of gear focused on the new, younger diver at a less expensive price.

But since you asked OldnSalty, here's a few of their " Home run " products.

The SG - 1000 ( similar to a Scubapro MK17/S600 ) is an exceptional value.

The XP-10 wrist computer is a complete easy to use dive computer at a great price.

The new XP-H is a digital pressure gauge and XP-10 all in one steamlined compact unit.

The stream Pro long blade freediving fins are very flexible at a very low price.

The new elemement wetsuits have been a fashion statement for the women.

Their new rash guards have been a huge hit.

IMO, some of their products exceed Scubapro's.
Like their Ultra Titan 3mm gloves.
I prefer their bag line over Scubapro's.

OldnSalty,

SubGear may not be for you, but I doult if you buy your blue jeans at Gap!
