I recently received my universal 300 Bar DIN conversion kit for my MK10, like the one shown here:
ScubaPro Universal Din Conversion Kit

My problem comes in with the torque specs listed on the box: 4-5 newton-meters for 10400124 (#8 in the schematic) and 30-32 newton-meters for 10400126 (item 31 in the schematic). All well and good, I'm assuming the factory assembled it correctly.

My issue is I have no idea how to tighten the whole unit into the body of the reg. There are no flat surfaces on which to put a wrench of any kind to tighten this unit into the body of the reg. As of now I've tightened it as best I can by hand but I hesitate to put this on my tank until I know for sure that's acceptable and I'm pretty sure I'm not getting 266 inch pounds by hand. Suggestions?

With the filter and other stuff removed, an allen wrench fits inside the DIN retainer. I think it is a 6mm but make sure it fits tightly as thge wrong size will cause damage with that torque requirement. Hand tight is not enough - it will come loose and leak. If you prefer 18 ft-lb to 22 ft-lb, that should be fine. Scubapro tightening torque on retainer seems to be higher than most. I suspect that connection is subject to be effected by handling the assembled kit by the 1st stage (or hoses) when under pressure so higher torques and frequent checking are warranted.

Disregard this whole thing. I figured I can take out part number 8 using an allen key and then tighten part number 31 the same way. Seems kind of a silly way of doing it as an aftermarket kit, but it works.

EDIT: Thanks, awap. I was looking over the whole thing and typing my second post the same time as yours, apparently. Knowing the extra details on the torque options/requirements is goo too.
