I txted Phil, Mike and Larry would have to cough out some more deposit. No word yet on how much.

OK caloy, finally got a response from Phil. As per my PM, Larry and I will pay an additional $15 to cover the extra room deposit. I'll arrange to make the transfer on Monday for subzero, midwestdvr, purpleheadedhammer, and me for a total of $231. Maybe I'll throw in an xtra $7-10 just in case the Philippine bank decides to take out some incoming remittance charge like they always do...

Sitting at an internet cafe in Maasin, thought I would do a quick post.

I've been staying at Sogod Bay Scuba Resort on and off the past couple weeks, even though it seems like the rain will never end we've had some really nice dives. I'll have to save the details until I have more time... Anyway, you guys planning your trip should seriously considering extending it to at least 5 days - there's over 20 great dive sites and we're exploring some more. I could spend 3 days just diving Napantau alone and not get bored.

The accomodations are a real treat - new, comfortable, ocean front views, and IMO an excellent value. The food is too good, I should be losing weight but I'm gaining it. They're getting a satellite internet connection installed next week and I'm going to hook them up with a WiFi router, I'll let you know how that turns out. Also going to give them a hand with their website if I get a chance.

Word is that the fast ferry service Cebu->Maasin should be starting again, not sure exactly when but that's the way to go.

If you have any questions I'll try to answer. I'll hope to write up a detailed trip report later...

Hi Caloy,

sorry for late reply.

Our bank details are as follows:

(I omitted bank's name)
Maasin Southern Leyte
Name Sogod Bay Scuba Resort Inc
(I omitted account number)

I have calculated a 25% deposit which is due as soon as possble.
Calculation is as follows:
75 dives @ 20 = 1500 x 25% deposit = $375 US
3 days x 4 cottages x $20 US x 25% = $60 US
Total $435 US
8 divers $54US per diver. ( note when converting peso to US rate get the rate of the day from metrobank when you are depositing into our bank account.)

Hope you get all this.

If you have any queries let me know and I will try and sort for you.

Please advise by txt or email when you have deposited the monies. Once this has been done I will secure bookings for you.

Just several question. We are arriving at the resort on the 26th and leaving the 30th, right? Isn't that 4 nights stay?
