Bob Soto was a pioneer that helped to bring scuba to the Cayman Islands and (and the Caribbean!) and he operated a dive business in Cayman for many years.

He passed away in 2015 at the age of 88 and his family is now offering a scholarship in his name to train a certified Caymanian diver (or someone with legal status to live in Cayman) to become an instructor. Red Sail will do the dive training, see the link below.

We have one of the few but have a whole new crop that just got their rescue cert thanks to another wonderful man in the industry. Hoping to have a winner although I doubt many will find the news about the scholarship on SB. The dive ops, schools etc got the info already and are on it.
