Well, my son and I went diving again a couple weeks ago to a shallow quarry (avg depth 20-30 ffw), and from 9:30 A.M. to about 10:00 P.M. got in four dives, and dove our little hearts out. Each dive about 45 minutes.
We ate some tums before diving (and a few times in between), and also watched what we ate. I told my son all the advice given on this thread, especially the part about swallowing air.
After the first dive, he told me that he didn't swallow nearly as much air as normal (actually, he was swallowing more air than he realized while equalizing...and didn't think about it until I told him about this thread).
Through a long day of diving, only slight signs of nausea, which quickly went away. Probably was the swallowing air in my opinion, since he noticed that was the big change this time around.
Thanks to all. My son is sitting right beside me and he thanks you all as well.
