Welcome back to So Cal. Sounds like you're quick to get out to the islands.

Where were you diving before you moved back here? Boston? I remember am undergrad biology field trip to dredge Boston Harbor- got old tires, beer cans, etc.

Aliso Viejo, to be exact.

Privileged to know Dr. Bill? I think not, the privilege is all mine. I think you are the better diver... I just flop around and take video.

By the way, conditions appear to be improving in the Dive Park as of yesterday. I'm doing two unique dives in the Harbor tomorrow, one to look for a pair of glasses I lost and the other to compare surge-exposed and surge-protected flora and fauna on one of the breakwaters.

Surely there are other soCal divers out there. What about my viola playing friend Karen... are you lurking somewhere in the kelp forest?

I try to dive at least every other weekend in San Diego. Either do a Cove, LJ Shore or Wreck dive depending on conditions. I have just got into digital underwater photography. Can't wait to dive this weekend!

OK, I'm in. I am currently in the process of liquidating a horse ranch in North San Diego county. Then its back to my old Redondo stomping grounds. I have dove all the Channel Islands many times and I feel that Clemente is my favorite but there are just tons of really neet places to get wet. Anyway I have enjoyed the Carribean, the Hawaiian Islands, Mexico and my favorite place is deep inside a So Cal kelp forest. I watched the sun rise at Window Pain on Clemente and I think it was probably the best.
Dr Bill, do Steve and Di still live in Avalon, I'm would imagine you would know them.
Bill............Dive Safe

Steve and Diana sold their interest in SCUBA Luv nearly a year ago and moved to Hawaii (Maui?). I haven't heard from them since although I know some from our local community have gone out there and dived with them.
