I take my hat off to all the Filipinos who waited in long lines and in humid/hot weather to vote not to mention the extra time spent waiting for voting machines that malfunctioned.

Some of my girlfriends family members waited over four hours to vote.

I read that the PI had a 75% turnout to vote despite the long waits. That is highly commendable! Here in the States that would probably set a record.

Hopefully Aquino will rise to the occasion. I don't know much about the other winners, but did find it strange that Imelda Marcos and that boxer were elected.

Not only is Location important in the Philippines but so is Punctuation. Should be "girlfriend's" not "girlfreinds" family as I only have one Filipina girlfriend.
