Hi
we have 5 days in mid sept to spend on a tropical island in Malaysia. We want mod cons with accom ie hot water and a/c , good views, good choice of eating places and snorkelling spots off the beach or easily accessible. I am a novice diver also so dive sites suitable for me are a requisite. Not fussy am I !
Looking at Pulau Redang, Perhentian, tioman or off the Sabah / Sarawak coast. Is Mid sept a bit risky weather wise for Perhentian / Redang area ? would tioman or Sabah be safer?
thanks for your help
cheers
Sonya

It is getting close to the end of the season but the weather should be Ok anywhere on the peninsula in September.
You have not given us a hint about your budget but here are some ideas.
You might want to look at JapaMala Resort on tioman

Limited on the eating locations but should meet your other requirements.
If you are looking for an international standard hotel then

Here is a good site to see what the resorts on Perhentian are like

I did not see an international style resort there, but then again I was not looking.

I stayed on the small island and loved the peace an quiet.
